Introduction to Mindfulness Monday’s

Starting Monday, September 30th, 2019 we will embark on adding a tad of mindfulness to our daily lives! What’s mindfulness you ask? Mindfulness is something that is magical and can make your life better even with a little bit of it. 

Definition of mindfulness:  

Websters Dictionary: mind·ful·ness

1. 

  • the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something. 

  • “their mindfulness of the wider cinematic tradition” 

2. 

  • a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique. 

What Is Mindfulness? 

Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens.
